Nexus 7 Experts Question plz...

Ok so I recently purchased a new nexus 7. 32 GB.. Have it about 2 the now,bt I've noticed that it takes about 10- 12hrs to fully charge (100%) from bout let's say 12%..... Any other nexus users here pls share your views on this.... I use the original Asus charger,so IMA bit confused as to its charging time...... Thanks uh n advance.....

With the tablet off, mine charges from 2% to 100% in about 3 hours.

While in use, it charges slowly, but nowhere near 10-12 hrs.

From the forums i've read it's actually supposed to take longer to charge when off.

@ OP what's the output of your charger? I used to use a 1A charger before bed and when I got up would be ready to use. Mine was 1st gen, btw.

i know it's quicker via mains than USB, but 12 hours? is there a problem with the battery?

Seems to take the same time off or on with screen off.

Never noticed any significant difference but then again i don't stand there timing it.

Even my 0.7A phone charger takes much less than 10 hrs to charge it.

The 2nd gen charger is a 1.35A.

Try another charger and see what takes place.

As Trini hookah said I have checked sum online forums and about 8 hrs or so fully charges it, the charger is designed to "charge and stop" so to speak... Its the first gen and original everything.... Original charger says 5v @2000ma........ Purchased online so warranty..........o_0

Discharge, charge, discharge, over night charge to full?

Yeah OP even if via usb you need to install "Asus AI Charger" on your pc.

I thought I read somewhere that newer batteries don't need this?
