They are no longer starting outside the Hyatt, last year the start boat and Solo hit the same wreck that the Harbour Master ran up on last week.

Great Race 2012 documentary, really very well put together:

What's the course in the Gulf this year? Trying to decide if to stay up by my parents to watch it.

OP there is no one Great Race. We are all equal. Mods, ban this person for inciting segregation.

Very odd, up to Wednesday night the powerboat committee told me different...
Can't access YouTube in the office, but search "Offical Great Race 2012" Documentary is just shy of an hour long.

yes they were fifteen boat lengths in front by macqueripe, but their boat wasn't trimmed put properly, whereas monster was running flat through the water, so it was only a matter of time before monster passed solo.

Jeeze, those things looking more like flying rockets rather than wave runners.
Only a few months ago a member of the winning team of a few years aback told me about crew members in these races experiencing brief black outs and disorientation when these boats slam into the water after being airborne.
Actually, back problems is not uncommon and many have pulled out overtime due to violent impacts on the body. The impact absorbing seats can only do so much.
One hella of a difficult sport to sustain participation.
