I believe a Contour was used for the vid, one is visible at the end on the other moto cop's helmet.
US protective forces tend to use Contour....more aerodynamic, easier to place on the body of an officer or on a weapon. comparatively the go pro is a bit bulky......

The pursuit went through residential neighborhoods which could have had kids / pedestrians / pets in the road. The popo did the responsible thing by backing off and slowing down the pace of the pursuit to reduce the danger to the public. Running down a man at full speed isn't always the answer.
