At the point when AC Milan was drawn, there were 4 teams left: Malaga, PSG, MUFC, and Barcelona.

Malaga could not be selected as AC Milan and Malaga came out of Group C in the first round.

Why were PSG and MUFC eliminated as options?

If you didn't see the draw, or are unaware of what I am referring to, then check out this video:

At around 4:30 you will see where AC Milan is drawn and then Barcelona is the automatic option with no draw.

What are the rules that eliminated PSG and MUFC?

probably because they were both group winners

does it matter who draws who?
at the end of the day to be the best, you have to beat the best
unless allyuh only want easy teams to play?

At the point AC Milan was drawn, Real Madrid & Valencia still remained and by eliminating either PSG or MU it would then mean that Real or Valencia would face a Spanish side since it would leave either PSG/Barca/Malaga or MU/Barca/Malaga which is not allowed....

i mean the video is self explanatory.... :|

Real Champions League last-16 draw identical to rehearsal to

Postby zahc » December 21st, 2012, 6:59 am

Journalists, fans and Uefa officials alike were left stunned after the Champions League last-16 draw threw together EXACTLY the same ties in both the rehearsal and the real thing – the odds for which are 5000/1.

best news I've heard in a long while..!!!

Chelsea became the first Champions League holders to go out in the group phase despite a resounding 6-1 win at home to FC Nordsjaelland in their final Group E game on Wednesday.

The much-maligned Fernando Torres scored twice, with David Luiz, Gary Cahill, Juan Mata and Oscar also on target, but Juventus’ 1-0 win at Shakhtar Donetsk in the other group game put the Italians in the last 16 at Chelsea’s expense.

Chelsea finished their group campaign with 10 points – level with Shakhtar, but below the Ukrainian champions by virtue of an inferior head-to-head record.

The result gave interim coach Rafael Benitez his first win in four games at the Stamford Bridge helm, but Chelsea’s only hope of securing silverware in Europe for a second successive season now lies in the Europa League.

“The other game was out of our hands, so we couldn’t do anything about it,” said Benitez.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will have two cracks at his old team, not just one.

Ibrahimovic, Paris Saint-Germain's 31-year-old star forward, has been cleared to play in the first leg of PSG's UEFA Champions League quarterfinal against Barcelona next month, according to a breaking report in French publication L'Equipe (in French).

The Swede played for Barca from 2009-11 but left the club under contentious circumstances. In a 2011 book, Ibrahimovic criticized former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola, as well as star players Lionel Messi, Xavi and Andres Iniesta.

"I didn’t have a relationship with the coach," Ibrahimovic wrote. "He hardly looked at me. Messi wanted to play centre forward and got his way." In another passage, Ibrahimovic compared Messi, Xavi and Iniesta to "schoolboys" who obeyed Guardiola without question (via Daily Mail).
