Looking for job

Postby 67nicole » February 4th, 2013, 11:37 am

Seeking employment as a Lab assistant or Research Assistant urgently!!!
I am in COSTAATT part time pursuing my BSc Biology/ Premed (2nd year)
Currently employed as optical assistant but at a really low salary... so looking to get a job that pays about $5000 monthly.

Any recommendations where I could apply? Already tried tertiary schools and local medical labs but still no luck. Please respond soon...

just an idea what about creating your own job , and go into some thing like photography and make some money to supplement your present income , also what about "tour guiding ", and together i belive you can cross the % k cap , what do you think ,? also there many other side line jobs you might be able to do along with what you do now until your " ship comes in" ?

OP, have people with degrees making under 5k, and as long as ojt exists its cheaper for a place to get an ojt to do the work than hire staff, especially as a lab person and tertiary institutions prefer people who already have undergrad and pursuing further up the chain

Sorry to inform you but costatt "degrees" mean absolutely nothing.

I suggest you do a recognised degree from an accredited institution.

Its highly unlikely you would get a favorable response here OP, best bet is to enroll with a employment agency and hope for the best, you may also have to consider something outside of your preferred occupation until something better comes up.

This reminds me of a guy who got an associate degree at costatt and is now demanding a minimum salary of $6k per month plus perks

He also wants a cellphone which the company must pay for because he said on his days off the office now and then calls him to find out where he put his desk keys, this according to him is work.

He also asked if he is entitled to travelling because he has to travel. They told him he has a desk job and isn't required to travel, he said yes but he has to travel to and from work.

I kid you not, this is real.

By whom?

Try getting into an international institution nah?...and no that doesn't mean SBCS or SAMS k.

What's costatt legacy?...which great people graduated from there?...how old is the institution?...what famous people ever visited? (no that doesn't mean bunji an fayann).
