they said it was d very 1st 1 ever built though , its in immaculate condition

i thought it wud easily fetch about 1-1.5 but 4.2 wtmc ... !!!

thats what happens at auctions, you get 3-4 interested parties who really want something and has the money, and the bidding drives the price up so badly. the auction houses make alot as well.

Didn't know anything about the Lincoln Futura (the car at the base of the Batmobile) until I saw one of the specials leading up to this auction.

Also didn't know the Batmobile designer was responsible for a LOT of the classic TV cars (KITT, General Lee, Munsters mobile, Clampett mobile).
