Digicel Sim Card Question

Postby TeamH2O » November 9th, 2012, 10:40 am

Got a new sim from digicel and put it on a blackberry storm 2 and when trying to dial *120# it just dials instead of showing the message with the balance. Removed battery, tried again and it works first time you do it, when you try again it dials like a phone number instead of showing the message pop up.

Tried my old sim and it works perfectly. So tried the new sim on another blackberry and does the same issue. Changed the network selections as well, same issue with new sim.

So i tried my sim on the next blacberry and it works. So then we try another phone, the new sim does not pop up the message, just dials and my sim once more works as well as the persons sim of the 3rd bb phone.

When u call digicel they say its the phone :S, that was before trying the other phones tho. The new sim was purchased yesterday, so im guessing it could be an issue on their side with the rain that fell yesterday? Or the person setting up the sim did something wrong? :? :? :? :?

Need to go in settings and "Ping Self" or something like that, the girl in Digicel did it all for me.

This happens on all blackberries with cdma&gsm.

If you have a blackberry dataplan and you see EDGE instead of edge it will work, otherwise its gonna make a call.

Only thing i've gotten to work is if you try to dial *120# or any other ussd code right after a restart when the phone still says GSM before it goes to edge...
