Thanks, KiD09.

Dharin, yeah, I know that feeling. I experienced the same thing until I decided to make the plunge. As I've told you before, I don't know how I used to operate without it.

For information, these shots were all done using wireless flash, 18-55mm lens, manual focus and extreme close-up, inside an office.

Used the Night scene on my camera, with a 4s exposure, loved the lighting on it.

Thanks! The lighting was due to having to use the on camera flash. Got a yongnuo 565 ettl, so looking forward to using it with macro when it gets here.

can any harm come from charging camera battery if it already has charge?

if you want 'top up' the battery.

It says here if its a lithium-ion battery its ok to "top up" but not soo much with the nickle based battery's.

Or is it the focus? Had a similar problem with pics of a flower that I took

anyone has any experience with Sigma lenses and warranty?

After rally today I noticed a spot in my pictures. The lens has no marks or scratches.

I've read on the opposite actually, physical spot but no disturbance to pics.

Check out if it's oil, which I hope it isn't man.

Time for my epic closeup shot....

All pics taken with D200 and Sigma 70-210 UC-II AF-D lens at f/4.0, natural afternoon sunlight. Processed in lightroom 3.0 and fake instagramed (heh) by yours truly.

The D200 and this older sigma lens without VR (allyuh young chirren these days spoiled with VR/IS eh... lol) is good for daylight or good-lighting photos, but crap when the place gets darker.
Wanna upgrade to a D300S (cheaper and if you know how to push that camera, you can get real boss pics as good as D7000 or higher!) and maybe a good ol Tamron 70-300 VC, hehehe.

Not too happy with the focus on this one, I always prefer to get the eyes in focus, esp the one that's closer to camera.... but when dealing with two hyperactive little doggies just after they bathe, you gotta take what you can get!

Otherwise, I just absolutely LOOOVVEEE crisp, clear and sharp black and white photos.

It is dust on your sensor, not lens. Dust reveals itself in far focused shots, like in the sky, far off walls at long focal lenghts... not in close focused objects (like your walls). Time to vaccum/ wipe your sensor [sarcasm](or send it to a pro if you are squeemish about touching the oh so delecate made of pixie dust sesor that will crumbel to pieces if so much an angel's hair touches it.) [/sarcasm]

Yup its Sensor dust it happens to everyone no matter how careful search some youtube vids on how to clean for your cam and order a kit if you feel comfortable or send it in for a clean I clean my own and have been happy so far with the 7D auto clean I have had to clean that one yet but do clean the XT and 20D Sensor.

Anyone ordered any lens since they made the budget announcement removing import duties on camera equipment?
