A company has a BIR number apart from an individual's BIR number.

The company's BIR number is used to file annual returns for Corporation tax, Green Fund Levy etc. An individuals' number would be used to file their annual returns for purposes of PAYE, Health Surcharge etc.

You need to apply for an individual number if you didn't get one from the OJT programme.

u earned $3000 for the year ?....

Personal allowance is $60000 for the year so if your yearly ojt income doesnt cross this then no need to file income tax returns for this....

see the website for more details

quick question
"i have a sole trader business and a BIR number for this"

In response.
You and the sole trader business would have the same BIR number. If the business name does not end in Ltd.(eg. Mr X trading as "ABC Things).
