Ok, so three years ago i tried building this door hinge, i had two problems with that way of doing it. 1 was it was not sturdy and 2 to get it to open you had to open it from inside only to pull the door out. i have since, came up with a different concept which should be much stronger and sturdy. Also, while this one had to come out so much to clear the hood(roof) and fender, my new concept will actually be rotating and sliding out at the same time in such a way clearing both hood and fender. The design of the original car i such a way that the doors don't have to come out first to clear the hood. Yes my name is Ryan, i am from south and that project was being done on my orange 323 gtx. what was used to build that was an ark welding plan and a chop-saw. I did not complete it because it was keeping me back from painting the car. One day i will make it. Also in the year 2000 i had successfully made lambo door hinges. this was just after king sultan had purchased original ones for $18,000.00 and before every one else had it on their b14.

on the technical note, the rear setting position of the original designed to accept the door coming in with that spiral trajectory. the hinge moves with one fluid motion. the only purpose of the original design is so that when u park up in a crowd and ur doors open, every body could know is ah koenigsesggsegsggggeeegegggegg

The reason they build their door to open like this is because of its size.
