I had recently bought an Android Tablet PC from HK and it must have been a lost in translation case because the customs officer in TT marked it as an MP3 player and I got charged 35% duty and vat. I complained to Customs House and Consumer Affairs, but how else the corruption and stupidity would continue to run? That is why you have to make sure they send you an invoice in English.

I was then told by the "Branch Manager" to download the update and apply it myself using ordin or something so. However before I could do so, she called and said don't it would actually void warranty lol. Sigh

I had recently bought a 7 inch Android Tablet PC from HK and it must have been a lost in translation case because the customs officer in TT marked it as an MP3 player and I got charged 35% duty and vat. It was opened and checked, so I don't know why the officer would mark it as an MP3 player. I didn't know MP3 players could access the internet or read ebooks and run youtube. I complained to Customs House and Consumer Affairs, but nothing was done by the bureaucracy. How else the corruption and stupidity would continue to run? That is why you have to make sure they send you an invoice in English.
