test the new card by it self to know if it's the card which i don't think it is.

Hey just trying to get an idea of what the problem might be? do you use software like afterburner to control fan settings and overclocking. Is both cards clocked the same if not use afterburner to set both cards to the same clocks and memory

Depending on if your case can take a 240mm radiator, one of the best entry level liquid setup you can use is this:

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/11743 ... _-HOT.html

Should be enuff to cool two gtx 680's well.

I have one cooling an amd phenom ii x6 1055t oc 3.5ghz and a stock radeon hd 5970 housed in a coolermaster cm 690II advanced case.

You can add a second 240mm rad if you wanna get better cooling performance if you're overclocking the cpu as well as the cards.

Finally built a decent system

Board :http://www.msi.com/product/mb/870-G45.html#/?div=Detail

CPU : AMD phenom x4 945 3.0GHz

CPU cooler : didn't use the stock cooler because the whole thing was basically a small blob of aluminium , but someone gave me a cooler from a X6 cpu so I lapped the contact surface to a near mirror finish because it was hella rough. Using $25 evercool thermal paste getting 30degrees cel at night @ idle Image
Still has a lot of minor scratches but it's the best I could have done with 1500grit sand paper because it's the highest any where had, checked various places to no avail

RAM : 8GB corsair xms3 1600MHz (running at 1333MHz)

PSU : Cooler master 500W PSU ( http://www.coolermaster.com/product.php?product_id=3738 )
want to upgrade to a Corsair AX650 or 850 in the future if Im gonna buy a bigger GPU

HDD : 500GB 7200RPM WD blue caviar

GPU : GeForce 8600GT http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814127293
This is my bottle neck right now :|
gotta save up to buy a good-ish GPU

^^Had 2 boards like that last year. Was running a 1055T and two radeon hd 5850s crossfire on it. Overclocks very well and has 140w cpu support.

sniper elite v2 on sale for $15. cool game.

__

I think i getting fed up of my windows install. Noticing anytime i wake up from sleep my USB ports die :| anyone ever got that? I have windows8 in another partition and nothing like that happens.

__

Next side note
I finally scrapped the old 9800GTX+ i had... i'll post pics later. i thought heat pads were sort of rubbery/gray. The ones i see they used were white and almost like how ceramique/artic alumina feels when caked.

Maybe it's something in ur power management settings that's causing it, or check device manager & see u have the USB root hub controller set to turn off to save power. Just a guess of course, this shouldn't be happening really.

How does windows 8 compare with 7.....I think 7 is d sheit

Same problem with me too here bro... the screen would just be blank and the mouse and keyboard would just freeze up, could not find out the problem so I always have to turn it off after use.

i check all of that, i even was thinking to add a line in regedit to remove suspendstate but for some reason there was only the USBhub folder and no USB folder so i didnt bother to dig deeper.

Honestly, i love it! It's like windows 7 plus with metro. the $40 upgrade from XP/vista/7 is quite nice too. Once you get accustomed to all of the features, it's pretty handy.
The uproar about no start button was sort of a naive thinking because as MS explained, users no longer even go through "all programs". Hell all i use it for is for search!
Metro is so customizable with live tiles. I look forward to all the stuff possible.

all of my issues happen after i update windows

I thought it was a GPU or MB issue...
