sigh... even putting Rafael gaffe aside we were outplayed in that game... the urgency and fluidity is just not there. Funny how we played the same way against Spurs and won but lost here... it is plain to see that english football is falling behind Spanish right now.

So, this means we have to win by 2 clear goals in Spain to progress. That is a big ask cuz they are strong at home.

I wont call em a bottom feeder far from it look at their players 4 out of those could easily displace 4 in our starting line up Llorente, Martinez, Susaseta, Hurrera, Munain and Iraola take your pick hell all 6 were great... Barca got away with a draw in stoppage time vs this team and they gave Madrid a run for their money as well... No surprise with this result...

^ Pogba played like a kid who is so excited to be given a big shot that they make simple mistakes but got progressively better as the game went on.

Poor Welbeck....his time will come soon I'm not worried about the Yorke/Cole experiment.

Rel hate on Welbeck...he did quite well yday other than the finishing touch...has good movement, tracks back well and can beat a man or three when necessary...composure comes with time so give him a chance...
Berba has proven time and time again he can only do it against the small teams...bigger games he flakes...would be useful when ready to give the others a rest maybe...
From the reviews from his training and reserve performances from the managers and other players, sounds like Pogba has loads of potential...supposedly renewed his contract but if he isnt sure if he wants to be here i think we should sell...

^^^ Pogba agrees United deal

Sky Sports understands teenage midfielder Paul Pogba has agreed to sign a new contract to stay at Manchester United.

Pogba's future at Old Trafford was uncertain as he was due to be out of contract at the end of the season and had been heavily linked with a move to Juventus.

The 18-year-old's situation was recently described as 'precarious' by his agent and speculation had suggested Pogba was set to leave United.

His omission from the squad for the recent Europa League home defeats by Ajax and Athletic Bilbao only prompted further doubts over his future.

However, Pogba was back in Sir Alex Ferguson's plans for Sunday's game against West Bromwich Albion and he appeared as a second-half substitute in the 2-0 win.

Speaking after the victory which sent United to the top of the Premier League table, Ferguson confirmed Pogba was still making up his mind regarding a contract.

It is now understood that Pogba has elected to continue his career with the reigning champions and has agreed terms with the club.

Pogba has made five substitute appearances for the Red Devils this season after making his debut against Leeds United in the Carling Cup.

well BBC reported that SAF said that he can't guarantee first team football for Berbie, so if he wants to look for another club....he can. :(

I know the critics are harsh on him but I think Berbs is a class player, his touches, flicks and passes are divine at times...however, he is a bit non-chalant at times and does not work as hard as he should. I will be sorry to see him go.

SAF clearly doesnt give a damn bout players its his way or the highway. The only man i think that has options in that team is SIR Ryan Giggs.

la liga is still two teams. Doh get wax. Ent when four of england teams were in the latter stages of CL la liga fans didn't think it was game over. Game moves in cycles. Everybody was raving about italians d other day. EPL just going thru a blip imo.
