Lee Sing versus Brian Lara

Postby rookie » January 27th, 2012, 6:37 am

LAST TERM AS MAYOR smh trying to swim upstream this is Trinidad and Tobago   he won't last another term taking bets lol

 MAYOR of Port-of-Spain Louis Lee Sing yesterday trained his guns at retired legendary West Indies and TT cricket star Brian Lara saying the cricketing great’s residence at Chancellor Hill in St Clair has been turned into an “entertainment centre” which is now affecting surrounding burgesses.“There is a permanent stage erected there. He may be living outside of the city limits so we cannot do anything about it, but his activities are affecting the burgesses, particularly in Federation Park,” Lee Sing said.

MAKING THINGS WORST

PORT OF SPAIN Mayor Louis Lee Sing is warning Carnival revellers and spectators that they could be fined as much as $1,000 or jailed for up to three months if found consuming drinks in glass bottles during the celebrations.

I agree with no glass in town for Carnival but publicly targeting BL isn't a great PR move.

He's correct tho.

We vex Lorse... But you guys must understand... Lara is a PNM and so is Lee Sing... They'll settle this issue in a gentlemanly manner. Not with cutlass and puncheon flying. Those looking for fireworks will be sorely disappointed.
These are two powerful, influential and wealthy businessmen with pedigree... Not some hawk and spit leggo beasts.

Could you imagine if this were two UNC stalwarts going at it? All now the price of white oak would've increased!

I agree with him. At least he is trying. Glass bottles are a danger. Hope it have plenty police also and ticket people for littering. He should question who is giving Brian Lara the license to hold the fete. Get police outside each venue doing breath tests on all drivers.

"Lee Sing said individuals entering the city for Carnival should treat it as a big cooler fete and refrain from bringing any glass bottles.

"If the person comes into the city with a trunk-full of (bottled) drinks and they keep it in their trunk we have no quarrel with that. But if they open the trunk and distribute the bottles in a band, that is what we have a problem with because those very bottles could end up being instruments of death and destruction and injury.

"A lot of people use the Savannah as a picnic ground during the Carnival. They come with their drinks in their trunk. If they have glass bottles in their trunk and they open it in their trunk and pour the drink into a plastic cup and distribute it to a friend in a passing band, I have absolutely no problem with that. But you cannot serve drinks on the road in glass bottles."

Lee Sing said the measure is one which, he envisions, can save lives. He noted that it was a broken bottle which was used during the only killing during the revelry last year"

...from the Express Newspapers
he has a valid point

So having your own video game with EA sports and being the face of MRF bats accounts for ... $0 ???

I have a slight feeling he can hold his own...

Lee Sing will do anything to get attention of the public. His master plan is to become leader of the PNM. He already owns the I95.5 ,TNT Mirror which are all propaganda media and the Newsday.

Lara has his own business as well. I'm sure he put things in place to have an income when he retired.

...and the MRF thing wasn't advertisement. He has his own line of Bats. The MRF Wizard Brian Lara 400...

But he know... So leave him

I think if we really got a leader or leaders that truly enforce just current law. People will form a revolution, storm the PM residence, remove them, and throw them in Golden Grove Prison.

Lee Sing's beef should be with the San Juan Laventille Regional Corporation (under whose purview Chancellor Hill resides) for approving the events at Lara's residence.
