This stuff used to air regularly on TV6 and then AVM in their early years as fledgeling stations, by which time many of the older 2nrs were already getting distinctions in o' level English (or writing their Master's thesis as in Unkle Vega's, patch and cbh's cases lol).
They should've never stopped airing it.

And this was when dub made sense and we knew all the words. And despite singing along in that dialect everyday in a maxi, when we reach in school, we know what standard english is. Kids today listening to Captain Clorox and writing how he sings.
