1. Which country you know would want him buried on their soil?
2. They do not want his burial spot to become a "shrine" of sorts.

We should all have a picture of him in our offices and homes to know that he was funded by the US to kill Russian Soilders.

who ever want to bury him.
he died in paki, he should be buried there. if the afgans want it, then there, he was a saudi, then there. believe it or not, not every nation had the indignation towards him as usa has.

and this has nothing to do with the state, just the community who would carry out the last rites.

what happens to the bodies of all the other people that US military killed in iraq and afganistan?
what happened to the body of saddam, and the son of gadafi?

[Updated 12:22 a.m. ET] Osama bin Laden's body was buried at sea according to Islamic law because no country was willing or able to take his body for burial on land, senior Defense officials said.

"When there is no land alternative, Islamic law dictates that the body be buried within 24 hours, and that was the basis," one official said. "

A second senior Defense official said there was no country willing or able to accept the body for burial, and U.S. forces "took pains to observe Muslim law."

"Today's religious rites were conducted on the deck of the USS Carl Vinson in the Arabian sea. The ceremony started at 1:10am and finished at 2:10am ET," the second official said. "Procedures for Islamic body were followed. The body was washed and placed in a white sheet. A military official read prepared remarks, which were then translated into Arabic by a native speaker. The body of Osama bin Laden was placed on a flat board, which was then tipped up, and allowed to slide into the sea."

Burial at sea is not allowed in Islam.

he died in paki, he should be buried there.
So create a Marty site in a country where, technically speaking, cannot be trusted.

if the afgans want it, then there,
Doubt they want him there...

he was a saudi, then there.
Worse yet, they took away his citizenship.

believe it or not, not every nation had the indignation towards him as usa has.
No doubt, but who wants the unwanted attention and attraction of his followers?

There was no time. He needed to be buried in 24 hours under Islamic law. No country would've wanted that burden.

I wonder who's getting the $25Million USD reward monies...It might be a Pakistani courier who helped the joint effort. May even get U.S. asylum for he and his family.

Pakistan is looking pretty shaky right about now. The trust level is extremely low at this juncture.

not 24 hrs, but as soon as possible.

at least with the 'martyr site' there, it would have had many persons of interest at one place, this would have made their counter terrorist work easier. the same crap dem fellas goin to come with, but now it going to stay wide spread through out the world.

but they should have just let his body stay there, like all the others they don't take custody of.

muslims believe that there is significant blessings in participating in burials. that is why it would have been buried. america chose to remove it, when the rites should be conducted on land.

The location of all #2s that died in the last 10 years were not made into shrines tho. It's better to bury him at sea and be done with it.

President Obama should divide it equally among all the operatives that took part in the "pest control" mission.

I think that reward $ is really for those who gave the tip to finding him.

The Delta Force/Seals/Army/CIA operatives who undertook the operation were just doing their job.
