A man who ate 17 doubles and walked away without paying his bill was on Tuesday ordered to complete 200 hours of community service.
Ziv Veloso, 23, pleaded guilty to larceny, when he appeared before San Fernando Fourth Court Magistrate Alicia Chankar.
Last Thursday, Veloso and another man went to a doubles stand around midnight and ordered and ate $68 worth of the delicacy. The men then walked away.
The victim, who operates at the corner of the Southern Main Road and Market Street, Marabella, made a report to the police.
Veloso and another man were later spotted walking in Marabella by constable Bahadur.
Veloso, of San Fernando, was represented by attorney Hansraj Bhola.
Chankar ordered that the labourer pay the vendor $68 immediately or spend six months in jail. He also has to complete 200 hours of community service, as assigned by a probation officer. I have actually, there is a guy in whiteland about 100ft away from the junction to go by TCL quarry there is a bar (not on the junction eh) who sells one of, if not the best doubles ive ever had..

But chose Debe as it was convenient meeting place IMO for me but I figured why be stingy so I left it as to be debatable so we could cater for all
