The whole Jamaica vs T&T thing...

Postby Rallyfignis » November 10th, 2010, 2:27 pm

This is the best article I've seen on it so far, hits the nail on the head...

What is conveyed in this article is what so many 2nr's with a wealth of information, education and knowledge failed to understand despite so many pages on different threads on the same topic :?

Time Magazine also wrote an article on this subject
http://newsfeed.time.com/2010/11/06/she-said-what-trinidad-pm-takes-heat-over-relief-aid-comments/

I think she needs some speech coaching... Her "plain talk, bad manners" approach to the situation is what caused the whole thing to get out of hand.. Her message was right, but the approach was all wrong

Good article, but I think that just as we have people here who wont se the benefit of T&T giving aid, there will be people in other CARICOM nations that will not understand why T&T has taken the stance they have; and most disturbing none of them will read somthing like this without critisizing it in some form or fashion.

Kamla does have to stop using metaphors and say what she means rather than leaving it to peoples imagianation of what she meant to say...

anyways the the whole TT vs JAM conflict really started when a certain tuner joined wheelsjamaica.com. (i keed, i keed)

BTW this post is not politically motivated in any way.

6 months in power now, honeymoon over...these communication mistakes are too basic to make.

Her idea was right but this PR disaster won't go away anytime soon. Our citizens will face the harsh side of it when visiting other islands and interacting \ having business deals (however small) with these people.

One Silk-Screen printer based in Central already got two orders cancelled by a Grenadian and Bajan this weekend gone. Small money for some of the small minds here in TT but significant business lost for that printer I can tell you.
