HID kit question

i am going with a hi/lo 8000k hid kit bringin it in for my self .. anyways .. want to know someting important about it..... can i use the "flash" or the "pass" switch to blink headlights without damaging the HID ballast or bulb? or cant use that feature of the car again :? :?

dont flash it will burn out the ballast and your car

a bi-xenon kit or halogen hi-beam/hid lo-beam? Don't flash them if its a hi-beam HID since you will shorten the life of the bulbs.

8000K may be a bit too blue btw.

4300k provides the most whitest and usable light.

8000k is for show.

Try driving on a rainy night, with no street lights and 8000k, you will think your lights are off. The blue spectrum is absorbed by the light .. hence you will think your lights are off.

Oh, and as far as the "Flash to pass" feature don't do it... keep a flashlight in the car and use that LOL!

Yeo i would go as high as 5000-6000k depending on the kit manufacturer
after that you get that no light in the rain problem

yeh notice tht with the 8000k .. will go with the 6000k.. from what i see .. some mfd have HID low and normal bulb for high beam.. and when you use the "pass" feature it activates just the highbeam bulb .. correct me if im wrong there

ok cool

my hid is a hi/low one with and actuator for the high and sometimes when the light is fully warmed up etc..... i flash it

now seeing it is fully warmed up can this also damage the bulbs, ballast etc
