yep, dex yesterday was rel empty. those cars in the pics were all that ran.

I think a lot of the regular competitors are saving their tyres for points events.......

but what of spectators?

dex never was / will be a large spectator sport...even in the US and UK
but as we on that....ever look at the 'crowds' for other sports that get nightly TV coverage? Local b/ball for example....sometimes it looks like less than one spectator per player.....similar for some PFL games etc...........

nope I see a lot of spectators at PFL games esp at Larry Gomes and Ato Bolden Stadia, as for b/ball I see a lot at Jean Pierre not so much at Orange Grove, as for solodex I beg to differ, in 2008 solodex was significantly more patronised irregardless of what happens in the world saying solodex was never and will never be a large spectator sport is to suggest it's very boring/ a participant only or poorly advertised event take your pick, if it's participant only then why are there less participants I mean a BYCC is normally well patronized so what happened and the "excuse" of saving tyres is bull so is only in 2010 men decided to save tyres? The bolded area seems to suggest a level of contentment with the poor turnout

dunno but a lot of the guys I know tend not to attend BYCCs for the reasons I cited
Typically the BYCC crowd is different to the dex crowd, and yes they is an element of marketing that is lacking for these events
There was a time CARS used to print and distribute flyers and send out emails form their email database....heck there used to be battles over whose flyer would be used........I can't remember the last time I got an email about an event.......
Plus the 'club' element is pretty much dead and buried.....CARS to me is more like what Autosport was / is, ie a body that runs events, not a club per se.....

dex will pull a crowd once its better advertised expecially the bycc

i remember before fellas itching for a bycc event...these days ppl hardly know when it is..
