WTK: Voice to Text software

Postby Chimera » March 20th, 2010, 5:35 pm

Does anyone know of any good voice to text software that I can use to convert oral transcripts to written?

I am specifically looking for something to use with court transcripts made using FTR player

Looking to buy a legit version, don't want any cracks or torrents or anything like that

Thank you for your advice

What happened to speech recognition?
Speech recognition features are not available in the 2007 Microsoft Office system programs.

To use speech recognition features, run Windows Speech Recognition in Windows Vista. For information, see the links in the See Also section.

I was talking to someone about dragon a few days ago and the thing with the program or speach recognition on the whole is either you train the program to respond to you or you speak how the program wants to. That being said, i have heard times of 6 months to a year to get to the point where you can just start talking wit minor mistakes.

Pay someone to transcribe it for you. The amount of corrections you'll have to do after will be like doing the work twice over.
