As a kid I wanted to 'make clothes' that nobody else would have.

Current: Screen Printer - foot hours are long but I still get to 'make clothes' for people.

Dream: Can't say that, some of you will never let me live it down.

Dream: To be gainfully employed in the oil and gas sector and work with an
international company for a good salary.

Current: Employed as a supervisor with a leading Engineering and Maintenance
foreign based company in the Oil and gas offshore environment for a
very decent salary. Very happy as is. They have to pry me off with a
crowbar for me to leave here. I don't plan on going anywhere from here
unless it is for a better salary.

Yup. My education is in electronics and that's what I wanted to do. Got a job and they slowly shifted me over to IT and away from electronics because my exp is in IT. But what to do, go home? Stay and get paid. Nothing bad about the job though, just not what I wanted to do.

Why should anyone control your destiny/deam/passion? Unless "they" are part of your eventual plan and/or "they" provide you with an income you cannot easily attain in an environment more aligned with your passions, why defer your dream?
