Looks like a beach we call "Chaos" by Khans trace or road, behind the photographer should be a small river and a swampy area.

Thanks everyone, people it is actually on the way up to Toco.

Now I really confused about the name.

This was shot with the Canon 50d fitted with a Tamron 18-270 lens.

By the way thanks David,I got my camera repaired by the guy you recommended.

No probs , I just took my Tamron 70-300 by him but it's dead , still deciding on what to replace it with looking at the Canon 55-250 IS .

"Fair use is a doctrine in United States copyright law "

We are in Trinidad .

"Fair use is generally a short excerpt and almost always attributed. (One should not use much more of the work than is needed to make the commentary.) It should not harm the commercial value of the work -- in the sense of people no longer needing to buy it (which is another reason why reproduction of the entire work is a problem.) Famously, copying just 300 words from Gerald Ford's 200,000 word memoir for a magazine article was ruled as not fair use, in spite of it being very newsworthy, because it was the most important 300 words -- why he pardoned Nixon.

Good luck trying to prove that someone using a picture as the wallpaper on their personal desktop is causing you a loss.
Also, this is the internet.

How do you know who is in Trinidad, Sweden, America or Brazil? Where the laws are all different regarding this sort of thing.

I mean technically this very discussion is increasing the visibility and raising awareness of the images even being posted, so in a way we are providing Free Advertising.

I am sure that the reason Sharon has low rez/smaller Images on her Flicker account is to stop people stealing her work if you want a High rez to use on your PC just PM her and ask for it , many people have asked for High Rez copies of my work for the same reason and I willing send them a Watermarked Copy .

No arguments there :-)

Have you ever tried making portions of your work available for people to use as wallpapers, watermarking them etc. etc. and then seeing what impact that had on your for profit sales?
