HCCA wrote:Nice system there corolla_2nr, had that same board a time couple with a Q9300, was quite a beast of a system. The 9800gtx+ actually gets a little higher score in 3dmark06 than a ATI HD 4850 (had these cards as well). The Antec 900 does cool very well but with the lack of air filters on the intake fans dust is a problem, plus cable management is a joke in dey.

My updated system is this, who have quad core doh trounce meh eh:

Intel Xeon E3110 3ghz dual core
Biostar TPower I45
2 x 2GB Crucial Tracer 800MHz
Visiontek ATI HD 4870x2 2gb
640GB WD HDD
Samsung 18X DVDRW
Corsair Nautilus 500
PC Power and Cooling 750W silencer quad red
Thermaltake Armor Quad FX silver

thanks man like this is out of the closet day for me yes
nice rig you got their yourself!

Thanks. The very nicer thing abt this system is that it didn't cost an arm and a leg to build, got most of the parts used at very good prices locally and the performance is like  . Will post my latest benchmark just now.

Try something in the realm of a core contact cooler eh, them does cool real bess. Have models from Xigmatek and Sunbeam to consider. They a bit big a$$ but the performance sweet.

Anyhow i have 3 benchmarks here, basically the only big difference is the video card configurations and the cpu clock speed.

Bench 1:

CPU: Intel Xeon E3110 3ghz stock. o/c @ 4.41GHz
Board: Biostar T-Power IP45
RAM: 1GB Crucial Ballistix Tracer PC-8500 DDR2 @ 980MHz
GPU 1: Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 4870 1GB DDR5 (780/1028Mhz)
GPU 2: Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 4850 512MB DDR3 (663/1069MHz)

3dMark06 score: 20035

Image

Bench 2

CPU: Intel Xeon E3110 (Stock @ 3ghz O/C @ 4.5ghz)
Board: Biostar TPower I45
RAM: 2 x 2GB Crucial Ballistix Tracer PC-6400 DDR2 @ 1Ghz
GPU 1: Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 4870 1GB (core: 780 mem: 4ghz)
GPU 2: Visiontek ATI Radeon HD 4870 512MB (core: 780 mem: 4ghz)

3DMark06 score: 20902

Image

Bench 3 (latest)

CPU: Intel Xeon E3110 (3GHz stock/4.463GHz oc) lower cpu clock
Board: Biostar TPower I45
Mem: 2GB Crucial Ballistix Tracer 800MHz @ 990MHz oc
GPU: Visiontek ATI Radeon HD 4870x2 (750/900MHz stock. 762/925MHz oc) lower gpu/memory clocks

Total 3DMark06 score: 21363

Image

....

No I'm not... I'm saying practically every other case in the pricerange of that armor is better than it

In the $200 price range that lil case is a boss... but I've come across better $200 cases (those from illusion win)

Thermaltake: Element S, Element G, V9
Coolermaster: Storm Sniper, Scout, HAF 922, HAF 932
Antec: 900, Twelve-hundred
Lan-li: virtually ANY Lan-li case

I'm just saying dude...

ingalook, we seein u at the LAN next month?

Nice looking cases in here fellas. The Tt armor isnt a bad case at all. It has very good cooling and airflow, which is more important than the hard drive bays using "screws". That small case look like a sweat box for those components. Especially with those ATi cards...

I am just asking

I am saying that it would have hailed his technical genius as a master system builder if he had got a water system to fit. I think eh could have probably used copper hardware and probably put the fins underneath.
