Zmax used to tout the miracle additive 'lincite' but the claims were never proven. That's when they shifted focus to Caroll Shelby's endorsement.
I can't see how it could possibly work

ie what Dave said

Exactly, you want good performance, treat your engine well, use good oil, service regularly and change parts that need changing.

Don't poor sheit into your engine that most likely is actually going to cause more problems than anything else.

You see,the tornado filter is something you could actually feel the difference but I don't know about the zmax product.......It looks convincing on the commercial but that's what advertising is all about....
So I take it that no one on the forums has used the product.......
Btw as we on this kinda topic, anybody ever used Lucas oil stabilizers or any type of oil stabilizers?

why do u need an 'oil stabilizer' ?
are u using a no-name brand lubricant ?? or reusing someone else's 'ole oil' ? & parking up 4 months in extreme weather ??
..
once your lubricant has served it's purpose - in my case done a rece meet- you get rid of it & run fresh at next event.
...
chk Castrol on net ......massive tech info avbl...Mobil & Shell too...

Kendall oil and tranny fluid FTMFW!!! Used to use the wynns oil additive in my engine with penzoil, but I stop all them additive stuff. The Wynn's in the tranny fluid however, does make a big difference. Redline fuel additive actually has increased my injector cleaning period significantly (Thanks Dave) but I still find a once a year clean is nesescary.

Ok...next question is....has anyone ever experienced your oil evaporate in your engine? The oil has probally done about 2000k's and when you pull the dipstick,it reads 1/2.....Your compression is good, etc and it amazes you...I used mobil 1 for the record and has switched back to old faithfull gtx20w/50....
So in my case,if I used an oil stabilizer together with the mobil 1,would that have helped?

Car not smoking,rings good,valve seals good,etc......
If something was wrong with my car then when I switched to castrol, wouldn't I've seen the same result???
Not degrading the mobil product here ppl...
Just giving you my experience....

OK ppl, stop ketching kicks on the tornado comment I made
I guess it's all in the advertising....convincing as usual.....

Well I guess the zmax has its "pro's and con's" but what about the dissapearing oil trick in the engine? Has this happened to anyone else or am I now a certified magician?? You know what I mean :)
