HUMAN skeletal remains were found in a forested area at Cedar Hill Road, Tortuga in south Trinidad yesterday, prompting police to contact the family of kidnapped businessman Naail Ali.

Police sources said that a skull, shoulder and a leg were found and lying nearby were a white t- shirt, a pair of blue jeans, under pants and a pair of black Clark shoes. Police also found a belt with a silver dollar buckle.

A police report stated that at about 8.30 am, Gran Couva police received a phone call from officers of the Gasparillo Police Station informing them of the skeletal remains. Officers and District Medical Officer Dr Teelucksingh visited the scene. The remains were removed to the Forensic Science Centre. When Newsday arrived, homicide officers were clearing the bushes in search of more evidence.

Yesterday, a weeping Sherry Ali – mother of kidnapped businessman Naail Ali – confirmed that police telephoned. She said the items of clothing found near the skeletal remains, were similar to those worn by her son on the day he was kidnapped outside the family business.

This is sucha sad case. Would finding the body bring any closure to the family at this point, or bring them more grief knowing he met a voilent end?

i feel soo sorry when i see his mom on the media pleading for her son ..man...thats heart wrenching stuff..........

to us who not affected its just another kidnapping..... she will get a stroke or heart attack soon....she's in a messs.......

very sad state for the family, hope the sickos that did this get what they deserve... I herd the victim's uncle has a contract to bring in arms for the government, hope he use his connections to hunt down the persons responsible and take them out one by one.. It would be a miracle if he's still alive, but highly doubt it

this is scary..............me and naail went to school together.........it must be around 4 times i heard on the news "unidentified body found" everytime i wonder if its him.......the crime in this country is getting outrageous
