US Mobile Number from T&T

Postby mazdatt » June 10th, 2025, 8:40 am

Need to get a US Mobile Number for use with a US Bank.

Looking for a low cost US mobile provider that supports the following:
- Use of a local credit card (RBL, FCB, Scotia) to setup account and to purchase credits/subscription plans
- Supports activation from T&T
- Supports Wi-Fi Calling from T&T (to receive SMS)
- Supports eSIM on an iPhone
- Low cost plan (US$5-10/month)

Any recommendations?

AloSIM maybe. Double check their website for suitability. Don’t think it that cheap tho.

I use Tello for this, US$6 per month plus tax. I use a physical sim, dunno about eSim outside US, had it sent to a relative who mailed it down. Tello uses the T-Mobile network. Only make calls using WiFi calling.

Confirming Tello meets all these requirements. I recently signed up with a RBL credit card and used an eSim on an iPhone. The cheapest plan is US$5/month and you get unlimited text. You would need to have a US address for Wi-Fi Calling and you can use your Trinidad address for billing so you are not charged any taxes.

They have a referral program so if you sign up using referral code (P38N2FJ1) you will get US$10 worth of Tello dollars/credits.

This worked!!!
It cost me US$8 dollars (US$3 for the eSIM and US$5 for the plan).
I also got the US$10 free credit by using the referral code.
