Washing machine suspension rods

Postby dtopshottas » April 4th, 2025, 11:42 am

Hey 2nrs,
Has anyone successfully repaired those suspension rods on whirlpool washers? Currently looking for a new set and it's on back order. I saw some videos using damping grease and replacing the foam in the rods. Any advice will be appreciated.

I got my whirlpool suspension rods in M&M rampersad on cipero st in san fernando 2-3 years ago. Just carry the old ones.

Idk about refurbishing your own, but good luck.

Get new ones and done.

Try and get the part number for your rods, it would be easier for customer service to search. I got from Reliable some years ago.

Go to https://www.whirlpoolparts.com with your washing machine model number. Type it in the search box (don't copy and paste). Select the correct model.

Once the parts are listed, on the left you will see "Part Category" and "Suspension & Shock Absorption", your rods with the part number should show up.

Reliable or Parts World should have. Get someone to help and do the job yourself, no need to pay anybody for this. YouTube some videos for your model, but the process is similar for most machines I believe.

easy to repair yourself...remember to check why the rods damaged in the first place....level your machine, don't assume the floor level by default.
