The Williams were looking fantastic in testing and practice - but seems now the others were sandbagging

Not sure if any team had the luxury to Sandbag since we went into this era of regulations. The times they locking in are what was expected during testing especially Williams.

However the cars are much closer this year for certain. Happy for Carlos as he was done dirty. I'm all for Lewis but it came at the expense of a great driver like Carlos

The weather wasn't easy. That race had attrition like wow
Hard luck for Carlos and Piastri.
Lando managed to keep Max off.
But Antonelli though! Well done!

I think he needs to settle in a little. It's not an easy role at all.

And he's still talking plenty gun talk coming up to Suzuka. I really think he needs to cool it. I was rooting for him up until that last statement he made yesterday.

Liam returns to Racing Bulls.

In other news:
Ralf Schumacher recommends Tsunoda not to join Red Bull
“If I were Tsunoda's manager, I wouldn't recommend him to go there.”
“They are also going to burn Tsunoda, who has no chance against Max”

Why not give Yuki the seat. He wants it. Is not like he can do worst than last. Also this year Verstappen looks like he will have yet another record in F1 that probably will never be beaten... "the only driver to score all points for a team in an entire year, with the second driver not scoring a single point".
In team in the top 4.

It's official. It's just not coincidence that Yuki first race for redbull would be in Japan. There is talk going around that Honda had something to do with this move. Who knows...

Are we in for a boring season.
Where the cars are so big and fast that overtaking is impossible. Where the tyres that are brought to each circuit have improved to the level that you only need to do a one (mandatory) pit stop.
Where Max Verstappen will win another championship but McLaren are content with just winning the constructors

After the Japanese Grand Prix... It feels like we might be.

McLaren should have allowed Oscar to have a go at Max, if it doesn't work out, swap places back with Lando. They could have box opposite Max so when he does pit his tyres will be better to the end of the race.

Yeah I felt they should have let Piastri pass Norris - he had the better pace

Not really. So far all races so far, a different driver on pole. If you ignore the McLarens there is a good shuffle for the top ten positions. Without any rain, safety car, McLaren playing it safe, max behaving himself, Sargeant, Latifi... any race will be boring.

I can pretty much name 5 or more drivers that will be in the top ten this season barring unforeseen circumstances

Max
Lando
Oscar
Charles
George

The other drivers that have a high probability are lewis, kimi... But as they are learning the car the team and the communication style and because Kimi is arookie... There is the odd race they going to miss a top ten

Imola 2025 turned out to be pretty good.
Piastri caught uncharacteristically napping at the start. Max with a decisive pass to take and hold on to the lead.
Williams doing well. Ferraris did some damage limitation.
Tough luck for Antonelli

That about sums it up.
That pass from Max on the 2nd corner was crazy!

Lets hope the 2-stops make it interesting. Last week race was decent, nothing better than taking een a race on a rainy Sunday morning.

Go Lando!
Monaco is just too narrow for modern F1 cars.
Good pit strategy by Racing Bulls tho

The extra pitstops made it interesting. It wasn't a bad race. It's only British fans that does be complaining about everything in F1. It's just amazing that British have no problem looking at a 5 day cricket match but find a hour and half race at Monaco boring.
