Firefly Aerospace's "Blue Ghost" lander touched down on the Moon on Sunday, becoming the first fully successful commercial moon landing.

i think the moon should be up above at that time seeing that's it's a total eclipse. hopefully not clouded

Planetary defense system spots interstellar object

Astronomers have confirmed the discovery of an "interstellar object" named 3I/Atlas passing through the inner solar system. Astronomer Dr. Peter Veres spoke with NBC News' Gadi Schwartz about the new findings.

This animation shows the observations of comet 3I/ATLAS when it was discovered on July 1, 2025. The NASA-funded ATLAS survey telescope in Chile first reported that the comet originated from interstellar space.
