No… we can’t deliver the scale because even if trinis bought it, economies of scale would be poor and it takes a long time to develop the expertise for design and construction and the skill set for assembly

Ok sure that would be great but the question is how?
Modern cars require a lot more than fitting together and screwing things in like most of these cars from the past in this thread

Old pic from the 90's. Pretty sweet. Probably my second favourite to the stretched Crowns. Was an aftermarket accessory.

I remember seeing this car around when I was a kid. Always felt the rear-mounted spare was tacky, especially with the faux wire wheel hubcap

I remember clearly when the Honda Civic EG 92-95 model used to come knock down.

Roro or knocked down?
The early b13s and no Post Laurels were knocked down and reassembled. This was Unc under Bas.
Roro meaning driven on and driven off was after the knocked down units.

I always assumed the no-post Laurels were imported fully assembled. Those were special cars back in the day.

So the essence of knocked down was that the suspension and engines were removed and reinstalled locally.

Nope we had one that came knocked down PBB1806. Before those N&M brought in some regular Laurels RORO, our first was a local CKD from N&M and it rusted quickly, was replaced with another that they touted as "foreign assembled" was much nicer and for some strange unexplained reason, we collected ours with golf clubs in the trunk
