The Airport cost us 1.6B but was valued at 600M.

Same proportion....zero jail time.

Why would a proven model change?
Money spent and an awarding wining airport to show for it by a non PNM goverment.

How much was spent on PNM project pride? And where is that airport?

Lalla clearly had political accomplices. Would be interesting to know who they were. Some might still be sitting in Red House

Hoss I wrote an entire post on how lalla came about.

He was a front man for PNM big wigs in the early 1980s to get contracts for the then Fertrin. In those days PNM ran Fertrin and awarded themselves contracts.

He was always a PNM

We can argue morals but in his book he'll argue he didn't do anything illegal.

The only thing they could probably pin on RLM is aiding and abetting. Since he is a much seasoned lawyer he'll get away from that and nothing will happen.

Like it or not, appreciate the slickness and skill that RLM and Lalla did to move that money.

Journalist apologises to SIS's Krishna Lalla

A journalist has apologised to contractor Krishna Lalla for an online publication he wrote and posted on two websites in 2020.

Aleem Khan also agreed to retract the article published on February 20, 2020, headlined: Where did the money go? Lalla’s Panama properties found, on his www.news.co.tt and www.connectas.org websites.

Khan’s apology and agreement were previously approved by Justice Ricky Rahim and entered in an order which Lalla’s attorneys Kiel Taklalsingh and Stefan Ramkissoon recently received.

In the order, Khan said he wanted to retract the article he wrote and having reviewed the documentation, “cannot substantiate the allegations.”

The order set out the five allegations.

“In the circumstances, I wish to disassociate myself with the content of same and withdraw all allegations made against Mr. Lalla.”

He had seven days to sign and publish the retraction on his website.

Lalla, founder of the conglomerate Super Industrial Services Ltd, sued Khan after the publication, and the matter was expected to go to trial in October.

The apology was posted to www.news.co.tt, which redirects to a TikTok account.

The apology set out the five allegations in detail relating to the contentious $1.6 billion Beetham Wastewater Plant, abandoned in 2015 after the general election that year. The project was later shelved by NGC and the plant’s assets were handed over to the Water and Sewerage Authority. The NGC also instituted legal action against SIS which is in arbitration. On February 19, 2020, the NGC won its lawsuit against SIS over an alleged move to dispose of its assets pending the resolution of arbitration proceedings over the controversial plant.

SIS has since appealed that ruling.

On Friday, the National Gas Company (NGC) said an updated calculation of the money sunk into the incomplete and abandoned Beetham Water Recycling Plant is actually $163 million higher than the original figure of $780 million given to the Parliament in November 2015.

That figure has now been revised upward to $943 million, an increase of just over 20 per cent.

What has not increased is NGC’s assessment of the project as being only 40 to 45 per cent completed when it terminated its contract with Super Industrial Services (SIS) Ltd on December 4, 2015, six weeks after the initial completion date.

was a bad idea. nobody on the industrial estate wanted it. in fact they were more concerned with the gas shortages which were being passed off as maintenance that we now know was a supply issue. dude abandoned the project immediately after the 2015 election

That is part of the globaist agenda... Trying to get water recycling in as many regions as they can .
We don't need it with the amount of rainfall we get.
