Well we are at impasse opinion wise. I believe Israelis in Northern Israel should live and you think they should die because that's precisely what the thousands of Hezbollah missiles are meant to do.

Israeli competence in defence and building codes that make everyone build bomb shelters in their houses doesn't take away from what the ultimate intent is by the militia to the north

JERUSALEM (AP) — The proportion of Palestinian women and children being killed in the Israel-Hamas war appears to have declined sharply, an Associated Press analysis of Gaza Health Ministry data has found, a trend that both coincides with Israel’s changing battlefield tactics and contradicts the ministry’s own public statements.

The trend is significant because the death rate for women and children is the best available proxy for civilian casualties in one of the 21st century’s most destructive conflicts. In October, when the war began, it was above 60%. For the month of April, it was below 40%. Yet the shift went unnoticed for months by the U.N. and much of the media, and the Hamas-linked Health Ministry has made no effort to set the record straight.

Israel faces heavy international criticism over unprecedented levels of civilian casualties in Gaza and questions about whether it has done enough to prevent them in an 8-month-old war that shows no sign of ending. Two recent airstrikes in Gaza killed dozens of civilians. ...

They have conducted a rescue operation and we're able to recover 4 hostages. After weeks of planning and training... They got 4 hostages after 8 months

They bombed and shot at least 80 of the captives in this is 8 months

That is against the backdrop of intensive assault on central gaza, where Isreal told Palestinians to go to as a safe zone

If Palestinian civilians are knowingly hiding Israeli captives, that puts a very different spin.

But losing 35,000 plus of your civilians while doing so is an intensely high price to pay.

It does not excuse pre-war Israeli atrocities.

If there are hostages able to be recovered, means there is no need to cease fire

Every 8 months u get 3 hostages... Alive,( cause they shot 3). 120 hostages, 320 months to get back all...

37,000 is the total death toll
So no Hamas members were killed?

A Gaza journalist who wrote for Al Jazeera was holding three hostages in his home with his family before he was killed by Israeli commandos during a rescue operation on Saturday, according to the Israeli military.

Abdallah Aljamal, who also worked as a spokesman for the Hamas-run labour ministry, was killed when special forces soldiers stormed his home in central Gaza and rescued hostages Almog Meir Jan, 21, Andri Kozlov, 27, and Shlomi Ziv, 41, the Israeli military said.

Aljamal’s death was originally reported by Rami Abdu, the head of the Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor, who claimed Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers raided the journalist’s home and killed him and several members of his family.

The IDF acknowledged that Aljamal was keeping the hostages inside his family home, but made no mention of what happened to his relatives.

Image

“This is further proof that the Hamas terrorist organisation uses the civilian population as a human shield,” the IDF said in a statement.

Aljamal had previously written a column for Al Jazeera in 2019. The Qatar-based outlet said Aljamal was never an employee.

Before his death, Aljamal was contributing to the Palestine Chronicle news outlet, where he wrote a plethora of stories covering the deaths of Palestinians in Gaza during Israel’s offensive.

Many of his recent stories focused on the ongoing IDF operation in Nuseirat, where his own home was located, and where Israeli intelligence had figured out he was holding three of the four hostages rescued on Saturday near a refugee camp.

The Palestine Chronicle is a non-profit organisation based in Washington State that works to provide daily news to Gaza. ...

Israeli war cabinet minister Benny Gantz has quit the emergency government and called for elections, in a sign of deepening divisions over Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's plans for Gaza.

Al-Jazeera Denies Connection With Journalist Who Israel Says Held Hostages in His Home
“This man is not from Al-Jazeera, and he did not work for Al-Jazeera at all, and he is not listed as working for Al-Jazeera neither now nor in the past.”

“We do not know him, and all the rumors that have been spread are empty of content and not true at all,” he added. The Arabic-language news network plans to sue those who spread rumors of current connections between Al-Jazeera and al-Walid, the Times of Israel reported.

“The building where Abdallah lived was one of 7 homes reportedly raided by the IDF on June 8. Hostages were held in only 2 of these buildings, not yet clear which. The other homes belong to the families Matar, Salihia, Ayish, Jodeh, al-Habash.”

“The IDF now claims it was NOT Noa Argamani in the building where Abdallah lived but the 3 male hostages. This raises the likelihood that he didn’t know, b/c he lived on the 1st floor & the hostages were kept on the 3rd in an apartment building,”
https://www.yahoo.com/news/al-jazeera-d ... 49492.html

I guess eventually we will find out who's lying.
However Al Jazeera does have a profile page for Abdallah Aljamal, though it lists only one article which he is the co-author and it is an op-ed.

No, I base it on the illogical adherence to a reality that never existed. A reality that will not exist. Lamenting the past serves as nothing more than a reminder and a hindrance to the future.

I read the link regarding the 'term' Palestine but did you listen to Golda. You said Palestinian never existed but she said that she is Palestinian and she had a Palestinian Passport. Did you know that The Roman Emperor Hadrian purged Judea of Jews and renamed the region 'Palestine'.?

200 maybe 201 maybe 210 maybe 180. Still high.
Could have been zero if Hamas and it's enablers released the hostages prior to yesterday

Could even consider if the Israeli govt treated everyone equally.
Could even go back to before the Balfour Declaration.
You could go back as far you want and still not find a country to have ever existed called Palestine.

You are going to find numerous caliphates, empires and kingdoms.

Is that what you base your stance on Israeli govt treatment of the Palestinian people in Gaza and West Bank on?

No, I base it on the illogical adherence to a reality that never existed. A reality that will not exist. Lamenting the past serves as nothing more than a reminder and a hindrance to the future.

I can agree with that.
What about the Israeli govt treating everyone equally?
