Why would you remove somebody who was actually doing a decent job? Because you benefit from crime and are friends with the criminals.

The PNM has always used the state's resources of them being in power to persecute and crush their enemies that leaves them broken in the public perception and in disarray and can't catch themselves years later. Then they use election platforms to create an impression and brand to generational dumb suckers that they are corruption free and clean, while biblically being hypocritical and gaslighting in all their actions and accusations.

It's a strategy that works. From Manning persecuting CJ Sharma, to the fake Microsoft Word emails (facepalm) to police raiding a former AG and other Opposition lawyer who were arrested but then suddenly the charges were dropped. To the ongoing Airport scandal. They need to do this rather than fix actual issues because there is no unity in politics, only divide and conquer. Agreed, I haven't seen this much of attention, scrutiny, and vilification in Tobago since pnm loss. Once in a while you would have heard some bacchanal in Tobago, but it would be briefly discussed in Trinidad if at all. Tobago's issues were virtually all localized in Tobago.

Seems only through legal judgements can things progress...but CoP not paying out of personal pocket so delays don't have any impact

They deny you for the stupidest reasons though. Recently a farmer took them to court over not getting a shotgun for pest control and they denied him saying that's not the only method for pest control. The lawsuit was just for them to make a decision though so he might have to go to the appeal board and it's there the commissioner does get wood. Israel Khan was on the board and he is pro gun. Not sure who's in charge now
