We need that 3rd mobile network more than ever to break the duopoly. If countries like Jamaica, Barbados, Guyana and the Bahamas are looking to add a 3rd mobile network then I don't see why it would be a problem here. TSTT had a problem but that is expected since they hate competition. FLOW was shortlisted by TATT to get that license in 2016 but it's up to GORTT to approve it still.

FLOW's CEO at the time: "We will jump at the opportunity given how we have built one of the largest fibre rich networks in T&T. It is 4,000-kilometre deep, passing over 300,000 homes in T&T. We will be rolling out the last LTE network. We would build the best network in T&T and I think people are demanding a higher quality mobile data product and service. The onus is on the regulator and the minister to step and issue the license quickly. T&T is falling behind. Jamaica has started LTE. Barbados is going to be rolling it out. Caymans launched it. The telecoms world moves very quickly. You could be ahead three years ago, and suddenly you find yourself behind, so it's that constant continual movement that's required. We are ready willing and able to invest significant money, employ a lot of people in the construction and the launch of it."gastly369 wrote:Lots ppl loosing their gbs... What they need to do is put back band 4 to 20 bandwidth and re-enable 3cc. Sine the change of bw from 20 to 15 in band 4 and upgrading band 28 to 15 the "overall" speed and feel of the lte network is down, seems slower.

Yes I agree they need to re-enable 3CC. Right now I see that bmobile is aggregating 4 and 28, 2 and 28 and 2 and 4. It won't take much for bmobile to enable 3cc if they haven't done so already. Digicel is only doing aggregation with 2 and 4 atm which kinda sucks.
In terms of getting AWS back to 20 MHz that's up to TATT if they want to allow them to have more spectrum. Currently Digicel is over the 50 MHz PMTS spectrum cap from the 2017 spectrum plan. However TATT is looking to expand AWS to band 66 and PCS to band 25 soon so Digicel should get 20 MHz of AWS back soon or even more.

Yes. Once you have your qr code it can be done very easily yourself. You have to erase it (not deactivate) it from your previous device in order for the import to the new one to be successful.Swisha wrote:Anyone ever had to transfer an esim to another phone yet? Can it be done without going in to Digicel?
Captain Awesome wrote:I made my own qr code using the esim string and that works for me. No need to go into Digicel to change phones.
