Uncutt News
Bandits snatch a bag of garbage they mistook for a bag of cash at a gas station last night.
The incident, Uncutt News understands, happened at the Unipet Service Station along the Cumuto Main Road just before 8 pm on Thursday 23rd March 2023.
A 26-year-old cashier/manager and a 59-year-old security guard were at the establishment about to close for the day, when two men, one armed with a gun, entered.
The suspects, both of African descent, announced a robbery, Uncutt News was reliably informed and ordered the two victims to lie on the floor.
The cashier was relieved of a black plastic bag that contained garbage and the suspects made their escape.
A report was later made to the police and officers of the Cumuto Police Station responded and went in search of the suspects but they could not be found.
PC Chance of the Cumuto CID is probing the incident.
