Hot D or House of the Dragon starts Sunday night. Gonna watch but don't have high hopes. The producers seem like they only Interested in being seen as woke so the story usually suffers in cases like this.

Plus it's gonna be hard to follow the original.

I don't know why Hollyweird just don't make their own brand new franchise and make it woke rather than using pre-established franchises and putting a heavy does of woke in it. It's just going to turn away people who have been fans of the previous series in the same franchise, not keep them and add new fans. Bad decision.

Cosplaying as George R. R. Martin for tonight's HOTD premiere.

I'll watch half the episode, promise to finish it soon, and then never do it!!

i hadda say, the trailers giving me hopes they might come good. and the fact taht all the source material is already here, it SHOULD not trail off lke what the GoT did.

awaiting reviews, no spoilers. will wait till all episodes push out and dedicate a weekend to it.
should have the ht system up and pumping by then too.

it felt like 'why cant a woman sit on the throne' but then after reading what happens, that explained that vibe.

it eh woke, but it's obvious a main character was race-bended as well.

but so far the first episode is good and they didnt drag the story at all. give it a watch and see for yourself.

yes, but not preachy.

spoliers below:

opening episode depicts the cruelty and horror of male-based decision making on women's reproductive health. Really hard to watch but at the same time you can't look away. a knife-twisting watch, imo.

that scene with the Targareyn prince being unable to keep it hard with the prostitute was telling. Betrays a deep feeling of his feelings of inadequacy even though outwardly he is an alpha. He needs to be king for his tolee to stay hard. old saying about everything being about sex, except sex, which is about power.

Thanks for reminding me.

@ paid influencer
A king/president,prime minister or group of politicians deciding on whether someone lives or dies ... finds fortune ... being presented with opportunity ... rots in jail ... is nothing new it still happens today in this very country.

For us to generalize and say men have influence over women's reproductive health is very disrespectful to all men out there ...especially the men who get stick mining someone elses children paternity testing should be mandatory ... i digress ... the whims and fancies or a very small select group of people who happen to be male doesnt reflect the life of most men cause for most men their lives suck.

The fact most are men over represented in leadership role is a function of men's physiology, personality and environment ... but men are over represented in other spheres are well when it comes to physical labour and dangerous jobs. Vicitms of crime, criminals and homeless as well.

As Chris Rock said "Women, Children and dawgs are loved unconditional men are loved for what we provide".
