Escaped Prisoner Recaptured

Saturday August 10, 2019.

The Trinidad and Tobago Prison Service advises that Ordinary Prisoner, Dillon Clarke who escaped legal custody on Thursday August 08, 2019, has been recaptured.

Clarke was held at around 9.25am on Saturday August 10, 2019, on Hollis Avenue, Arima by members of the Police Public Order Team and taken to the Arima Police Station. He now faces an additional charge of 'Escaping Legal Custody'.

Commissioner of Prisons, Mr. Gerard Wilson has commended the actions of the members of the Police Public Order Team and by extension, the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, for unwavering diligence and alertness.

The Trinidad and Tobago Prison Service continues to partner with all security agencies for the maintenance of public safety and security.

Prison Escapee DILLANO MARCANO Recaptured


Police have recaptured escaped prisoner DILLANO MARCANO, during an exercise conducted in the Western Division today, Friday 28th February, 2020.

Acting on intelligence, officers of the Western Division Task Force and the CID proceeded to an abandoned house at Neighbour Hood Avenue, Blue Basin, Diego Martin, where the 16-year-old who was initially charged for murder was found.

Dillano was then conveyed to the St James Police Station and the Arouca Police Station was informed of the arrest.

Dillano, of La Paille Village Drive, Caroni, was the fourth from among five prisoners who escaped from the Youth Training Centre on Thursday 3rd October 2019, to be recaptured.

The exercise was supervised by Sgt Brisbane and led by Cpls Dominique, Murray, PCs Romany, Mc Clean, Gilkes, Genty, Sahadath, Roberts, Rogers, Peltier and WPC Primus.

Investigations are continuing.
