Poisonous or venemous?

I may be mistaken but they said some of the local mappapires carried a rattle on the tail and shake it when agitated. Not sure if its one without a rattle.

maj. tom wrote:Just because YOU are afraid of snakes doesn't mean you should kill them. Most mammals have a natural fear of snakes, not just you. I am afraid of snakes. But it was no threat to you. Even the backhoe man knew that. It was a scared animal and fleeing because YOU interfered with its home. You're using that age old excuse of personal fear to commit inhumane acts.
Next time, just don't.
rebound wrote:I know you guys are snake lovers, and thats fine but I have a real fear of them...REAL! I was clearing some land and the backhoe operator saw it and moved it to the side.
After I ran far away, I noticed that he did not kill it, so I went up to him and told him to kill it because that thing was big.
The operator then reluctantly killed it.
My apologies, but I would not have been comfortable knowing that thing was around.

cool, no problem.
But are you "comfortable with rats, lizards & other animals that could be considered pests? How about rapists, murderers, child molesters, wife beaters, bandits etc.?
Because with him now gone due to your irrational fears, you gonna have a lot more of the former in that area now more than ever, and the latter are more of a risk to your life & safety than the snake ever was, yet they still very much alive & practicing their dangerous habits.
just some perspective.

This came about 1 year after we dealt with a mapipire zanana in the yard.VII wrote:Yuh chap it up nah bhai ?
