WRT the Curepe Interchange. I used it twice since opening and realized if you filtering onto the CRH east bound coming from the SMR you have to yield to the traffic on the filter lane that comes off the interchange itself.

It's kinna like the good old days where Curepe by the gas station lacked a filter lane so traffic heading east had to wait on the traffic lights.

The east bound lane approaching the overpass is wavy like a bad day in the gulf. What passes for acceptable pace works? The work done on the EMR from the bridge near the St Mary's children's home and the transition to the original surface is a great standard to keep.

Lots of traffic heading east as its pushing the traffic further east. Just a suggestion to remove
the right turn traffic light at UWI to turn north ,
north bound traffic light to UWI,
right turn light to pasea north and
north bound traffic light to pasea.

If I had to head to UWI from west bound CRH I would go to Curepe and turn and come back down anyhows.

But all this is moot until UWI and other schools reopen and we can really see how well the Curepe Interchange is working because the usual almost 1/2km long line to turn there on mornings and evenings is absent as it is mostly school related.

Kfc line does be backed up onto the highway creating traffic for those who want to get onto the southern main rd north bound.

If you are going to valpark do not follow the 1st overhead sign indicating the lane is for south valsayn and valpark...its only for south valsayn and watch out for the concrete curb that suddenly appears as the road dips down.

East traffic seems to be nearly the same pre interchange. Imagine when schools reopen.

Yeah it seems the same because of all the lights that just pushed it down further. But the curepe interchange is such a relief though. Macoya is the next big choke point. UWI can be handled with a traffic plan and a roundabout.

Also i noticed that the Rasta nuts men with the coolers still taking advantage their old spots on the highway in what is now flowing traffic. Wasn't too bad because the traffic was backed up from UWI lights, but it was still flowing a bit. Two of them walking between those lanes of flowing traffic normal. Only a matter of time before a big truck lick dem down this time.

That concrete curb is problems.

Allyuh laughing at randolph , but he has multiple sources of income. Only one is partially closed , but he still pumping on the side. Although the sideline business making money he still get the salary relief grant . PNM sees about their own . Dbu.

The $200 m saved on the interchange was saved on the paving work . Is the worst .

I have noticed that several times in the last few weeks persons heading west but going to Valpark or Valsayn South are not using the roundabout anymore but entering straight of the highway onto to the filter lane given that all the plastic or rubber poles stuck to the road to act as a divider are all gone.

Would suck to be on the filter lane knowing there aren't supposed to be any traffic merging from the right and bam some arsehole hits you.

Why use those poles and not extend the concrete barriers all the way though though? Every where that had those poles no longer have them as they all been knocked down.

Right now they studying how the guavament did more with less, built a new bridge in Grande and it falling apart already. Newly built double bridge, diverted a main river and the bridge has one big stink depression. Only a matter of time before it ends up in the river....gheeee dem

Really? I haven't heard of that. But how are the two projects linked though?
