Have clients who have received all refunds due to them, i.e. Income tax, Corp taxes and Vat refunds. None that filed for employment relief have been received as yet.

I received all my tax returns since working in 2015... the longest one i had to wait for was 4 yesrs... the 2015 one as it was over 10k... i deposited it in my account last week... the shortest time was pike 2 weeks for a refund... usually they go through quick... did you do it over the system or through a hard copy form... also did you include your attachments... i think that helps as well

You have to set up an account for ttconnect... first you register for it online at ttconnect and you finalize it by visiting a ttconnect office... idk if any open during this siq period

Hello ED,

There is also a online chat available for all your questions.....the ttconnect stations are closed so everything can be done online. Slightly tedious but you can get it done in less than an hour.

Try this. I can't say if it will work for you.

When you reset the password and they send you the temporary password, just concatenate a string to it.
So if they send you UTnkl30EmK as a temp password and then when you log in you have to change your password immediately. Just add anything at the end and that's your new password. eg. UTnkl30EmK[string]

Use a password manager to manage and encrypt your passwords. Firefox already has this native feature. It's no use trying to create one you will try to remember because that's a weak password anyway which a computer can force in 2 seconds. A good password has more entropy. Which means they're not decipherable by humans at all.

TT connect telling me my refund issued since December 2019, but no cheque yet.

Not sure if this is BIR or TTPOST fault.

If ttconnect say your refund issued then trust me it issued... note the address u put when u now set up your tt connect... if u moved and did not change it... your cheques will still go to that adress... fear not to prevent cancelled cheques ttpost has implemented (in some areas) a mandatory visit to your ttpost area representative office to ensure that tax refunds go to the person intended... so even if you have an old address when u did the tax refund... you can contact your ttpost and they should have the cheque their for you... i say should as my area represnetative's office said that all ttpost offices supposed to be doing this but on this forum u will see that some people still receive mails directly... anyway check the TTPOST for the area you used when u set up your account

Hi there good day

ok so I tried ur suggestion unfortunately did not work however I messaged them online on the chat and they sent me this email

Marcy (Mon, 4/27/2020, 11:35:18 am)
I am sending a request to have your password reset, please look out for an email containing new password information and instructions

So I just have to wait for the email then? should take a day or 2 you think?

Do you all know if the branches to do this in person is closed? or I don't have to worry it will be sorted out online?

^ not sure... if i recall you had to go in to a TTconnect office so that they can ensure you are who you say you are... it was a brief interview... 5 mins or so... ask me a few questions about myself... like my workplace... took two forms of id to copy... yh that was it i think... the process makes sense imo as the last thing anyone would want is for some stranger (in MoF, or your HR or Accounting Department) who knows your BIR number to see how much you earn a month... so i understand these safeguards... whether they are open or not idk... you have to hope boy

Yeah wait for the email. But all that means is that they told the IT department guys who will reset the password the exact same way that you can do it by clicking the link. The system generates a random temporary password and sends it to you in an email which must be changed as soon as you log on with it. The system does not require human intervention. I have run into this problem several times with various systems that require a specific format for their passwords like "must contain capital, common, number, only 8 characters etc."

If they send you a password in the email eg. T74SJKF2LP just use the same password but change the last letter eg. T74SJKF2LY or change a number in it for another number.

Beyond this, it looks like you would need to go to a TTConnect office and let them help you manually right there.

The account has to be activated... to activate it you have to do that by TTconnect (see http://www.ttconnect.gov.tt/gortt/porta ... nnect+id#2) the site also says ttconnect offices are closed during this period

Wife got a 2015 refund today! 2013 and 2014 were submitted the same time.
2015 was the biggest so it all worked out well and was done manually and dropped in the box.
