Aye fellas W203 C180 owner here...my genuine MB battery gave out almost 2 years ago and i used a Pricemart Eveready and it's worked perfectly since then. I know it's a poor choice but I had insurance to buy for 4 vehicles that same month so I cut a Lil cost.

I don't know how long it will hold out again but so far the tumble is powerful. The car is used once or twice a week if so much, so i guess that helped prolong the life? When I do need to change however I'm gonna try Interstate brand of batteries.

The genuine batteries usually last very long tho.

I will look into the price smart battery but hearing AC Delco and Bosch (expensive tho)

Can interstate and rocket batteries work?

Thanks a lot. I really like this car.

They should work because most brands carry different codes that specify size, amperage, pole placement etc.

The reason I'm trying Interstate is because my electrician resells the brand in his shop and he's been giving me customer feedback.so far so good.

Ended up with a Rocket MF battery ....$1200

18 months warranty ....we'll see how it works out. I've had good experiences with Rocket in Japanese vehicles.

To get the ESP off after replacing the Battery on the W203 started the car and turn the Steering wheel from All the way Left To All the Way Right A Few Times so should clear that code..

I own a W203 since 2003 But Located in the USA

Thanks Wavey.... I drove it around today, went around some sharp corners and the light came off. Good to go again.

Never liked it before but I'm really starting to like this car now. Always something to tinker with. Was my dad's and he passed away.

The brakes in the w203 doesn't work when the car is started for the first time in the morning. I know how to handle it but the other day my wife had to move the car and she freaked out.

Took it to the mechanic and was advised that the vacuum pump unit and line need replacing. Bought the genuine pump on Pelican Parts and hoping to that it'll get here this weekend. Got to get the line from Sterling today. Hoping to get the repairs done early next week.

MasteMike thanks for looking out but I can't get it out of the US. There is a difference with the left hand vs right hand drive. See pic with part #s.

So I spoke to another MB mechanic who said to just change the pump. The line should be fine.

Thoughts / opinions on this?

I agree with your mechanic, unless the lines are cracked/damaged
