It's for the temperature controls to work. Without the heater, it'll b cold and colder. No harm will b done to the ac without it.aaron17 wrote:I guess its for the dual zone to work.
How exactly did it fail, is it leaking?sizzla89 wrote:Good Afternoon,
I have recently experienced the Heat Exchanger/Heater p/n 1k0-819031e Core for my 2013 Volkswagen Jetta fail. I was told by BA that i should replace. I suggested t them that i discontinue use of that by capping the lines that feed it.
Has anyone experienced this problem and has it been done before without negative effects?
Well, if it leaking it leaking coolant. So u will have to keep checking your coolant level. No harm will b done to engine. He don't care...sizzla89 wrote:According to BA it is leaking. They said i need a new one together with a gasket.
