BMW 330 conversion

Guys can you assist:

One of my friends has a BMW 330 with an original V6 engine. The problem is the car overheated and you know the rest.
Is it better to repair the engine and transmission or do a complete conversion?
Where do I look for the parts?

BMW doesnt build a V6 engine
