URGENT!! HELP NEEDED BADLY!!

Hey everyone,
I have a Peugeot 306 SR PBB series I think the car was made in 1996. Anyways I bought it and well it need some work. Things is right about now my mechanic wants to get started on the brakes and the bearings but when I called the sales rep she told me I have to be sure if its Bendix or Locus I dunno what that means
if its a brand can u plz tell me which is better.
Another problem I have is wit the bearings, I dont have samples cause they either shelled out or rusted really badly. Does anyone kno the type it uses front and back (complete)
