no dex :-(*
Gonna use Sunday to do the installation. Only part i not too keen on is having to remove the ECU, some relays, fuel lines and intake system to get at one corner :-( That also requires unclipping the trailing edge of the soft top to remove the engine cover
The book says 4 hours, but I'm catering six or seven

You have the proper tools to carry out this kind of job? Better schedule for 10 hours.

when I bought mine, they didn't have the combo. If I recall, I paid about US$115 in-store
That thing makes changing tyres and dong suspension work a cinch!

Only took a few pics. Started at 8:00am Sunday morning and finished at 8:00pm
Started by removing the engine cover, ECU and all its attached plugs and connections, also had to remove the air filter box and piping, plus coolant bottle, all in order to access the top nut of each rear strut. Also helped in getting access to the nuts that keep the hydragas canisters in place.

Front access to bleed the lines that pressurize the suspension. Line into bottle, then using the screwdriver to press the pin that releases the pressure
There's supposed to be 400psi of pressure. The bottle supposed to contain the spray. In my case, there was hardly any pressure, due to leaks in the system, causing the car to 'drop low'.

Engine access with top pulled back and cover removed

The gold thing is one of the old hydragas units. It's basically two spheres, one with liquid, one with nitrogen, separated by a rubber diapgragm. The suspension acts on a pin that pushes one against the other. The nitrogen compresses while the liquid is linked front to rear, so as a wheel moves up or down, the displaced liquid affects the wheel at the other end accordingly. Since these are no longer available, the solution now is four canisters (that black thing), each with a spring inside. The kit also comes with four replacement dampers too

New clearance (before settling)
Car is now useable again. Before, the wheels were almost rubbing the arches, and with all the nitrogen seeping out over time, previous owners just kept pumping it up with more fluid until the system was rock solid, with only the tyres for cushioning. Surprised nothing ever cracked or broke
