Anyone else have problems with dropping the rear seats?

Is it stuck in the open position? Hmm.. if it were that easy could it have dropped forward when braking hard?

Is your rear windshield tinted? Cuz those guys would have definitely had to pull it down to do that.

I have a 2011 octavia. Worth every penny. Looks way better when lowered a bit and some bigger rims.

Hello folks

My 2012 Jetta MK6 is at

27800 miles (approx. 44800 km)

Going great so far except for

the rattling from the gearbox area
changed my front cradle bushings
changed water pump
changed wiper blades

Other than that, great vehicle!

I love my VW!

@ neexis

Yep replaced under warranty. It was making a very noisy grating/rattling sound on startup and while accelerator depressed.

They say is the bearings worn on the water pump..oh well.

779 km from a tank is the best I've gotten out of it so far.

   Allergic - you driving that thing granny style orr! lol! j/k. That's fantastic mileage though! I imagine that is on strictly premium? Any additives to the gas tank?

I had a company leased one for about 2 months - and I used to get up to about 400km on 3/4 tank. - Used to always fill back up on 1/4 tank. So that would equate to about 500 km / tank. But I ran that f*&ker hard!

Since I've returned the car (changed jobs) I haven't been on this thread. But I see yours is doing over 33000km. How has it been overall since you had it?

A lot of highway driving. Some city driving. Avoiding traffic when possible. Traffic is a killer. If it hadn't been for a day of traffic I'd have easily crossed 800km. Cruise control when on highway set to 90-105kph most times. Coasting when possible. Coasting burns no fuel. A couple sprints to 200 kph but not sustained. Tyre pressure of 35 psi all around.

That's pretty much it. This car is ridiculous.

Are your tyres 235/45 17?
Does 35 psi ride a bit hard?

Tyre shop inflate my tyres to 28 psi, the size is what I quoted above.

I have 225/45/17. I always found stock Jetta ride was firm to semi harsh on bumpy roads. I've found pressures from 32-36 about the same feel. I've never run as low as 28 as the recommended pressure by the fuel tank says 32 for one occupant.

28 is kinda low.. My tyres are 235/45 R17 like yours and the recommended pressure for 1-2 passengers is 32

In my fuel lid it is recommended 33 psi. I'll give it a try again, will feel the road bumps more however.

What does toluene do? Maybe you need more than 4 litres for the tank?
