WTK: plugwires/coilpack options

Postby *KRONIK* » January 26th, 2015, 8:06 am

Fellaz... PRESSURE!

yesterday, while changing my spark plugs a coilpack got broken at the joint of the stem...(seems to be dry rotted)
i mounted everything back up and the car works fine, but obviously that needs to be replaced ASAP.

are there any aftermarket coilpacks/Non-OE coilpacks that can work in its place.

1 coilpack @ Lifestyle is 1667.50....
HVR has them for 1450

while i am replacing the damaged coilpack, i want to change the other wires....any other options besides OEM??

OE cost 425.50 for the pair

Post options here...

if u have to sell...PM or text 703-5627

Got in 4 roads diego martin but they really didn't last long. Might really be better to buy from HVR.

Thanks pete...

I already called HVR...

Was still exploring other options as other swift owners may experience this problem sooner or later so we gonna need some aftermarket options

The liana carries thr same m15a as the swift.

So it should use the same coilpack

I got mine from Hyper V racing for around 1500

After which....a tuner told me you csn get them on ebay.co.uk for 40GBP.

You should explore this option

Dude thanks will give him a call.....

checked on my coil pack today and the hardest thing is when i took out one of the packs apparently it was broken from the stem part......the top part was separated...the long piece was inside the engine...and top part was broken away......so this must explain the misfiring.......damn thing making a sparking noise when it misfiring .....so kinda scared to start and drive the car.......

Would anything happen if i use the car.....fire....further damages etc.....I need to look around for this plug.......$1700 from the firm is alot man.......

Its a denso plug btw....

same thing happened to mine, broke at the stem and the stem remained inside the hole...
plus...i burst the plugwire in cylinder 3 so i had to replace the coilpack and the set of wires.

it will cause misfiring...., that misfiring will cause fuel to go unburnt and foul the oxygen sensor...

my auto-electrician said not to use the car until i got the parts replaced.

I will leave the car parked until i get this but need to get it before friday.....would have ordered itonline but it will take a while to reach...so may have to search around locally for it.....I would not expect for this coil pack to burst jus like that......

Instances like this make me wanna have a roro car where i can go to any dealer and pick up a used coil pack cheaply...hmmm....
