YA21S = M15A/M16A???

Postby kdat » March 5th, 2013, 2:05 pm

On the metal tag in the engine bay of the sx4 the type is YA21S.

Research is showing that this is equal to the M15A engine, is this true??

Always presumed it to be M16A. Which is it?

YAS1S comes with three options from factory .. m15a / m16a / m18a

the ones sold from lifestyle are m16a FWD

you can also just check the engine block...it's stamped to the front next to the tranny
