ok ..... it seems they don't do high comp pistons .... 9.5 in the m15a and 10:1 in the m16a.


Basic kit (structure on M15A block)
86mm bore block, TSD piston set, head gasket US$ 2000
Core charge US$500 (if you return your engine block to us, we will refund the core charge)

If your vehicle is Swift sport, which is equip with 83mm stroker, you will achieve full 1.9L/1929cc with 86mm bore block.
For M15A upgrade, 86mm bore kit with stock 78mm stroke will result 1812cc.
For M15A to achieve 1929cc with 86mm bore block, the stroke required to be changed to 83mm.

Optional equipment:
86mm stroke kit US$800
TSD race engine bearing (complete for crank and conrods) US$350

total cost ...block rods pistons gasket injectors 2500.00usd
shipping to trini 300.00 usd
Race bearing US$350 full set with crank & conrod bearings
Additional head gasket US$80/ea.

I just come across this forum that discuss the 1.9L upgrade kit.

We are the one who build the 1.9L kit. Any questions, feel free to discuss.

Sorry I have not spent time visiting the forum as I am new here. Where are this group at? Would it be possible for us to hook up with a project car for autox event?

and do make a high compression kit

i noticed the kits comes with 9.5:1 pistons...where the stock Ignis sport / Swift sport comes with 11:1 pistons.
We are from Trinidad in the caribbean.
I Currently race in Solodex (autox) events with my M15a Suzuki ignis sport with minor modifciations.

what suggestions do you have for a project car.

Trinidad in the caribbean! Holiday.

The kit comes comes with cast piston which is approximate 10:1 and use original conrods. However, there is optional forged conrods and race bearings further enhance the reliability of the engine if aiming for more power in the future.

Thus the pistons 10:1 is to provide a street/motorsport use that able to use the regular pump gasoline without any issues. However, an race forged piston also available, which will bump the compression ratio over 11:1.

what autox class rule regulation for Ignis if prepared at 1.9L? which class will it be? We can offer some sponsorship program for qualified autox'er if anyone interested to bump their Ignia to 1.9L if competitive in given autox class.

I used to compete in SCCA RR and autox back in the States, but not sure if the classes and regulations are similar at Trinidad. If regulation permits, I would suggest bump the 1.5L to 1.8L (with current stroke) and fit a high compression piston. As for exhaust header, we fit a 54mm OD pipe for increase displacement. Combine with fueling kit and good tuning, this setup will bump up to 170+ wHP with good torque/hp. No induction setup will match with such setup with no lag and flat torque curve, which ideal for motorsport events (drag maybe different case).

SS class - power to weight ratio 11.5-14.9

That's nice, a 1.9L conversion will still fall into the SS class?

The 1.9L will provide you plenty of power that racer likes.

and the pipes are to big for the stock 1500cc

who tuned your e-manage in bim. and did u get it dynoed?

A guy here called Andre Waithe, he road tuned it, not dynoed as yet, and probably wont happen before the super charger goes on, found a match up from jackson racing and was told it would work, here locally, and we are doign it this week.

is it a JR rotex charger kit they make for the civic by anychance?

they look almost the same but i guess you are custom making the mounting bracket and belt

yea i know its not in english but you can still pick out the facts about 1.9L + supercharger
i also know that i'm a couple years late, but good info is good info right, btw did anyone make the investment and get the 1.9L kit?
